Moments of Naked Truce were found on the shores of Northern Ireland, as humans and landscapes surrender in surreal settings.

From a wish to seek refuge and peace while escaping from the tensions of a torn city, this project embarks on a journey to the countryside and into the subconscious. Analog portraits that were taken along the coast of Northern Ireland were digitally reassembled, negotiating their place within the sceneries and between reality and imagination. 

What is discovered is an uncanny dream of diplomacy that emerges with the combination of the naked human body and the dark beauty of nature, a collision and conciliation of the familiar and the fantastical.

Naked Truce

Cosmic Stream is an exploration of the inner world of the mind in relation to the mysteries and ambiguities of the universe. 

Materials and ideas from different contexts are merged, blending imagination and science, the organic and the artificial, and various scales and perspectives in order to find new possibilities for association and coexistence. Driven by visual research about cosmic consciousness and an understanding of the complexities of existence, the project is aiming to challenge the visual culture and the knowledge of traditional representations of the otherworldly.

The images are the result of various experiments with photographic material and were made in different ways: through collage making and analog or digital transformations, or by the staging of self-made objects and maquettes. Each image is an attempt to question and change what can be seen and was created in an intuitive process.

Together, the images form an alternative cosmos that shifts and blends multiple perspectives, inviting the viewer to wonder and wander, and follow a stream of consciousness through poetic science fiction.

Cosmic Stream

This series is part of a new ongoing project that intertwines inner and outer spaces. Conceived in the time of the ongoing lockdown, it is a contemplation on surreal and whimsical moments and that arise when memories of a care-free time mingle with the quiet corners of home.
