Pandemic Papers 2020

One of the many pages created during the total Lockdown in 2020. Pandemic Papers became a project which protected against the lethargy of the moment.
 Feathers from a trip now impossible , graphite, inks and newsprint made up this day's Pandemic Paper.

Pandemic Papers XI

To kill the strange lethargy that crept into everything while in total Lockdown I pledged to use a page of the newspaper to work with every day. Inks, graphite, cutouts, gouache , cutting, sticking ,drawing are used. I encouraged a couple locked into their special care home to do the same and exchange an image daily in attempt to lessen their isolation.

 Reflecting on the strangest of years using graphite, inks, found papers and pastel. It became a small series in the eye of this hurricane, working with a combination of materials and images partly dreamt, partly felt and translated.
